Dinner at Chef Geoff’s in DC

We’d like to get together next week, to catch up with all of our fellow members of the Phi Alpha Delta National Capital Area Alumni Chapter, and to talk about some upcoming events, especially the 2010 Congressional-Judicial Reception. Comedy Night this Friday

Just a reminder, this Friday is Comedy Night for the National Capital Area Alumni. We will be meeting at Chevy’s in Ballston for dinner at 7:00, then going to the Comedy Spot for the Blue Show.

Happy Hour Tomorrow

Just a reminder that we will be getting together tomorrow after the district-wide initiation tomorrow. We will be at Capital City Brewery on 2 Mass. Ave., NW. We plan to arrive between 7:00 and 7:30. Join us for Happy Hour this Monday

The National Capital Area Alumni Chapter will be hosting a Happy Hour atCapitol City Brewing, 2 Massachusetts Ave NE (right next to Union Station), in celebration of the P.A.D. district-wide initiation at the United States Supreme Court. Happy Hour will begin immediately after the initiation, around 7 p.m. Look for us up in the mezzanine.

Mock Trial Judges Needed

The 2009 P.A.D. Pre-Law Mock Trial Competition will be held at the Hilton Alexandria Mark Center located at 5000 Seminary Road in Alexandria, VA on November 13th, 14th and 15th. If you are interested in being a judge, please contact Byron in the Executive Office.

PAD Alumni Serve as Moot Court Judges

Congratulations to Christie Stahlke of Brandeis Chapter at American University Washington College of Law. Christie organized the Wechsler First Amendment Moot Court Competition at American University, and recruited several PAD alumni, including Curtis Anderson, Brad Moss, Kel McClanahan, and John Karasek to serve as judges for this competition.

Dinner Topped Off with a Laugh!

The Alumni will be heading to Ballston to laugh away the superstitions of Friday the 13th!  Dinner will be at 7pm at Chevy’s Fresh Mex at the Ballston Mall before heading upstairs for the Blue Show at the Comedy Stop at 10pm.  Bring your appetites, be ready to laugh and don’t walk under a ladder.

District Conference 2009

The District Leadership Conference for District XXIII will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2009, at
Georgetown Law School in the McDonough Building. When you arrive at the building, you must sign in with
security. Registration is at 8:30 and breakfast and lunch will be provided.

Alumni members are encouraged to stop in for part or all of the conference.
